Dancing with the Stars Week 9
The home stretch….
The semi-finals folks. Where they picked their dances out of a mirror ball. Very scientific, this show. Also, may I say how odd it is that the show is starting and the sun is still up.
Ooo! They took away the lifts again! Um, what is Cheryl wearing?
Dance #1 Jason and Edyta foxtrot to “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off”
They seem happy about their choices! I love Edyta. Had to get that in for the week. Surprise!Dan Marino! I love Edyta’s dress. And Jason looks sharp in that suit. Aw, look at him and his flutter kicks. That was lovely. I’m sure they’ll find something wrong with it. EMMITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEE!!!!!!! Len liked it! Bruno liked it! Carrie Anne liked it! BEHOLD THE POWER OF EMMITT SMITH!!!!! Aw, he and Cristian can’t play together anymore. :( Oh, they are keeping it secret. Too cute!!!
Dance #2 Marissa and Tony quickstep to “I Found My World in You”
Stacey! That’s so sweet of her to help! Tony has said he’s enjoyed every season he’s done but he’s not had as much fun as with this one. I love her hair! Oops, she missed a step there. For the most part that was really good and she didn’t show her mistake. They only reason I noticed was Tony jumped and she didn’t. Yep, Bruno saw it. Carrie Anne, you’re a big reason why she’s still here. Yay! They liked it!
A Thriller tribute tomorrow. Huh. And the final for the kids!
Dance #3 Cristian and Cheryl Viennese Waltz to “Satellite”
They have the POWER OF EMMITT with them! Seriously, what is up with that dress? And that’s how you do a waltz with one arm! I thought that was beautiful and well executed. Also, he’s scruff, which always wins points with me! THANK YOU TOM!
So help me, if they inflate the next scores, I’ll be ticked.
Dance #4 Kristi and Mark tango to a tango-y song with no lyrics.
I kinda like the pros. You know, I don’t care who does the tango, I hate the head shake thing unless it played for comedy. It’s good and most likely enough to get her to the finals. You know they’ll give her 10s (when it wasn’t really better than Jason’s foxtrot, which only got one). Oh look, they’re up her butt again. If it hadn’t happened all season, I probably wouldn’t mind as much.
Yeah, sorry, it’s around 8:30 so I’m a bit distracted and not watching Len doing his thing. Though I did see Kym feel him up.

Only Edyta could pull that outfit off, you know. I’m just not sure. I mean the technique was there and I wanted to like it but, I’m just not sure. Oh Jason just made me snort with the political speech. I’d vote for him.
Dance #6 Marissa and Tony rumba to “Just the Two of Us”
She had Stacey helping her and she did surprising well in this last time. Again, I wanted to like but I’m just not sure. It probably doesn’t help it’s my least favorite dance. But they got stuck! *pets* Suck it Carrie Anne. I’ll vote for her just to tick her off.
Dance #7 Cristian and Cheryl and samba to “Jaunita”
Anyone else nervous about this one for him? Cheryl’s wearing blue shoes! I LOVED IT! BEHOLD THE POWER OF EMMITT!!!!!!! Too cute! And fun! And everything a samba should be! Carrie Anne knows THE POWER OF EMMITT!!!!!! WHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!! (except Len)!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wasn’t blown away. And the judges weren’t in love either.
I won’t be able to do a commentary tomorrow night as I’ll be seeing Eddie Izzard live. I may do a quick recap or not. So, until next week!
