Yeah, and character assassination that then in s3 had to be reset (to be fair I like s3 because in the end it doesn't turn back the Guy arc the way s2 did).

In the beginning it was mostly about getting in her pants but by the end, while he hoped for that, that wasn't the main force of it. He wanted to be that man that she brought out in him.
