Even more HIMYM thoughts...

because it's only Tuesday. I have six more days to obsess before the next episode!

So, this is the description of the next episode, entitled "The Goat":
Barney and Ted have a discussion about "The Bro Code. Because Barney wants to do something that Ted disagrees with.

My thought is this: Barney doesn't tell Ted about Robin, just that he wants to date an ex of a friend. Which is against rule #1 of the Bro Code (it even comes before not dating a friend's sister, or so I've heard). Ted would be against it on principle. The goat comes in, if I remember correctly, at Ted's 30th birthday party. Where, I think, he (or the goat) will find Barney and Robin making out. Hence the reveal and leads us to the next episoded called "Rebound Bro".

And then, I've read discussion that we need more Canadian people on for Robin. Like say, another former teen pop star by the name of Alanis Morissette.

Now, that would be legendary, true. But how about this: a member of Alanis's band is from the neighborhood and after a gig one night, they come to McClaren's. She and Robin and old grudges and Barney calls girl fight and orders Wendy the Waitress to get massive amounts of Jello.

Well, we find out, Alanis also dated Simon, who left her for Louise Marsh because her parents got a pool table. And that's who "You Oughta Know" is about!

Discuss.

Ooh. As much as I would LOVE to see Ted walk in on Barney and Robin, I've just gotten the impression from spoilers that their kiss/one-night stand was just that. I haven't read anything more than you have, I don't think, but, I don't know. It just feels more like them to have hooked up and then not really wanted more...for a while.

I am in love with your "You Oughta Know" spec. Oh man. Any more Robin Sparkles and I'm THERE.

See, the spoilers I've read is that whatever happens, Barney doesn't want to stop it. And Robin's name doesn't show up. We'll see. We have six episodes left this season.

Ooh! I like that much better (and it fits with my personal canon that Barney can commit more easily than Robin)!

I think Robin can commit in her own way. She just needs someone who won't change her.
