Back in the mid-90's, the best (in my opinion) non-live sketch comedy show graced the MTV airwaves. That show and group called themselves The State. MTV promised us that the whole series would be released on DVD last month. They changed their minds and it is now sitting in limbo. *waits patiently*

Until that time, here's a glimpse at their brillance:

No, it's their own set. They used again at least once more.

We could have bought $100 worth of pudding. And that would have been a lot of pudding. But we had to go all the way (all the way home) and get Two hundred and forty dollars worth of pudding (worth of pudding). Aw yeah.

Thanks. A friend of mine and I did the whole sketch in the parking lot walking to car this summer. Everyone we were with pretty much igonred us.

LOVED The State. Stupid MTV...I want to show it to my husband! I want the DVDs!

I'll have to be contented with the clips you put up for now...but Matt's never seen it and he really must see it all!

I'm so happy and almost proud when I see a member doing other things. I have the book (State by State with The State). I bought the video (Skits and Stickers) way back when. Somewhere on a VHS tape is the CBS special.

Now I thought I'd finally would have the orignals at my disposal. And grrrr... The first five episodes are avaible for download at Amamzon and iTunes. Apparently, they are waiting to see if that goes well. Which is dumb because why pay for them twice?
