Dancing with the Stars Week 8

misssara11You know, I just can’t get that excited about tonight when I know what’s coming tomorrow!!!!!!
Expect the usual wandering at 8:30. Tonight everyone finished up the dances they have yet to do and the semi-finals are next week. Conveniently, this show ends the same week So You Think You Can Dance begins! I won’t have to go without!!!!!!!
So, will Cristian be able to soldier through? Hope so. At this point, I really just want Kristi to go down. Oh that’s right! They can do lifts tonight! One per dance but still.
Dance #1 Kristi and Mark quickstep to “Billy-A-Dick”
I like her dress, not the hair so much. I don’t know. It’s technically great but I just don’t feel her. The judges will love it of course. I do know I won’t vote for her for the rest of the competition. I don’t care how petty that makes me. Unexpected!Brian Boitano! You know, he’d be great on this. I’d love to see him just be himself. At least she didn’t get a perfect score.
I can tell by the outfits it’s all ballroom first. Which means we have a foxtrot, two tangos, and a Viennese waltz to come. In the Latin round we’ll have two mambos, a jive, and two sambas.
Dance #2 Mario and Karina Viennese waltz to “If I Ain’t Got You”
Yeah, he’s grown on me. Never thought I’d say that. I like his suit. Ooo, her dress was made for that lift. The dance itself was lovely. That just feels weird to say that. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it.
GIDDY! GIDDY! GIDDY! ABOUT TOMORROW!!!!!!!
Okay, based on Cristian’s outfit and the dance he’s doing, I fear we’re going to have a tango to “Smooth Criminal.”
Dance #3 Marissa and Tony foxtrot to “New York, New York”
Oh dear, their going for the sympathy vote with the cancer mention. I still adore her though and will most likely vote for her. I adore Tony. I’m not sure I’ve said that recently. JAZZ HANDS!!!! Well, that’s worth a vote right there. Now see, that’s a proper foxtrot that I’m sure the judges will expect more from. But LIFT!!!! And it was pretty! Hmm, Bruno knows Ethel Merman. Why am I not surprised? And there’s the remark I was expecting. Bad Bruno! No biscuit!

I just love these two. Edyta is just mean. I mean, it may help but yeah. Oh. Hello, Jason’s hip flexors. They know they’re married to other people because that’s just sexy. And I want Edyta’s shoes. And could I look like her for just like, a day? Yep, still love them best. I don’t think Bruno’s pleased with Len. MARLEE AND FABIAN!!!!! BOO LEN!!!! That was a 30 dance!
Dance #5 Cristian and Cheryl tango to “Beat It”
By the way, the longer Cristian puts off surgery, the worse it could be. Word is Jason had the Dolphins trainers send him a brace. They’ve become really good friends through this. Well, I was right about the Michael Jackson bit (and am disappointed to this not being to the other song). Wow, that was quite a lift made even better that it was only one-armed. Will it be enough though? Yippie! They liked it!
EEE!!!!! TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention I was excited?

I’m still convinced the costume ladies hate Mark. Well, Mark is showing himself off and for once, Kristi looks a bit awkward. But of course, the judges will love it because that’s what they do. OOO!! They don’t like it! (They’ll still have a great score but still.)
Dance #7 Mario and Karina jive to “Little Bitty Pretty One”
I want to like this but his start was very shaky. I love Karina’s dress. I just wasn’t fond of that. I agree with Len on this, it was too rough.
I think I need popcorn. I thought you all show know that.
THE MOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sans Anderson Cooper, but still, I love that show oh so much. (Yes, I even watched the celebrity seasons. Don’t worry, I’m ashamed enough for all of us.)
Dance #8 Marissa and Tony mambo to a mambo-y song that isn’t in English and I’ve never heard.
No, Tony, no amount of chest will make me like that outfit/color on you. That was a cute dance though. I gotta agree with Len again. It was careful and you can’t do that just far into the competition.
Dance #9 Jason and Edyta samba to a song I can’t seem to find
I liked it. Didn’t love it. Yeah, it was alright. Not great. Also, what’s up with his trousers?

He has a sparkly brace! How masculine. So, apparently, he just needed to be injured because he’s just on tonight! Good for him! I loved it! Boo Len!!!
