misssara11: (A2A Disturbing Love)
First, I'm going to see The Arctic Monkeys and The Black Keys on Friday night!

Anyways, the purpose of this post: SPUFFY FEELS!!!! Spoilers for Issue #7 of the Season 9 comics )

Still looking for Buffy-Spuffy icons!
misssara11: (FF Alex-Cheers!)
So, on Tuesday, I decided to buy myself an earlier birthday present. Thursday night, I went to Indy to a concert. No, that's not the right word for it. It was an event.

Never before have I felt so loved, accepted, important and even beautiful. And that was all thanks to our host of the Ball. It was the Monster Ball and she was a real lady.

gaga
Yeah, my seat was that awesome.

She was incredible. She's beautiful. Not as thin as I had imagined. She changed an insane amount of times. The opening band was meh, but she made up for it. She took the stage promptly at 9:00 PM and finished a little after 11:00. No real breaks. Just little video vignettes between set changes. She was all out the entire time.

I have been to seven fantastic shows in the past 15 months. The Killers are always great. Franz Ferdinand rocked my socks (and gifted me this icon). Snow Patrol was fun. Muse was everything I heard about them and more. Last year, I can fairly say seeing Coldplay changed my life. Gaga made me feel like my life was important. I know it's weird to say, but she can make anyone feel wonderful. She uses her powers good at least.

If you want to see all my pics (all 180 of them), click here. I haven't uploaded the videos yet.

And now to spend the next few days playing catch up. My inbox for email is insane at the moment. Not even going to try to catch up the flist.
misssara11: (FF Alex-Cheers!)
So it's been three weeks, I suppose I should write up my concert going experience, eh? I've been busy doing stuff but I've put this off long enough.

Details and Photos and Videos, Oh My! )
But before I go, let's do a little flow chart:
Franz Ferdinand has played with the Killers who have played with Coldplay who have now played with Snow Patrol! All of which I've seen this year!
misssara11: (DW Bother)
You like the Kaiser Chiefs, right? Who doesn't? You started singing "Ruby" to yourself as soon as you saw the band's name. It's only natural. Well, get ready to love them (or think they get bored way too easily). I'll put the blurb from YouTube as the cut text.

Personal Video Message, made for David Tennant on his retirement from doctor who. Made by Ricky Wilson and Tim Blackwell on a day off during the British Tour 2009.  )
misssara11: (FF Alex-Cheers!)
Sweet! I've figured out how to use the Slide Show feature on PhotoBucket. Remember a month ago I went to see the Killers? Well here's all the vids and pictures (in slide show format to view at your leisure).

Enjoy below the cut! )

I may repost the Franz photos as well. And at some point I'll get the ones from last night off my camera. I have no idea how most of them came out yet.
misssara11: (FF Alex-Cheers!)
I'll do a proper write up later, just know the show was great.

We missed the Howling Bells (not my fault) but were in plenty of time to see Snow Patrol. Who were lovely. And dedicated "Chasing Cars" to alcoholics. And Gary (the lead singer)'s mic has a wee hat. It's a bowler hat as his mic is a British gentleman. He said so.

The main act is everything you hear about and more. And remember, a month ago I went to two of the best shows ever, so I'm hard to impress now.

Guy Berryman is just beautiful (as you who are my Facebook list have already read). I'm just going to pretend when Chris said his girlfriend was there, that he was referring to me. *nods*

Read the Twitter feed for set lists until I can do proper things with it all. Including uploading the pictures and vids (without going through them looking for the bad ones, the count stands as 365+).

More later!
misssara11: (Richard Armitage N & S 3)
Yes, I will post the photo meme stuff eventually. Most likely after this weekend. ONE MORE DAY TO SNOW PATROL/COLDPLAY!!!! (Rember, I'll be doing the Twitter thing, or at least attempting to.)

Anyways, something fun and not at all a ploy to get you lot to read my fic!

1.) Go to my master list and pick out a line or two from one of my stories. (Must be a full line, please -- no sentence fragments or speech tags or other such nonsense.)

2.) I will respond with which story of mine I think it's from.

3.) A drabble to anyone who stumps me. If you do stump me, feel free to request a situation and characters.

I did pretty well on this the last time I did it. Let's see if I still have my mojo going!
misssara11: (March Hare)
I know some of you have said you've read Julia Quinn before. Well, I just finished The Duke and I last night and I plowed through the end of that thing! Please tell me the rest of the Bridgerton books are this good. I have them all, so I don't need to wait to acquire them. The Viscount Who Loved Me is sitting right next to me as I type this. I adore Colin, but I understand that's a completely normal reaction. And I can't wait to see Hyacinth grow up. I have my suspicions who Lady Whistledown is. Don't tell me!

I've been taking pictures as well for the photo meme. I'll happily take more, just let me know!

Reading about others experiences with UP, I discovered I was unfortunate as I got neither the short nor the preview for Toy Story 3. All we got was the trailer for The Princess and the Frog. Not the same thing at all! Don't get me wrong, I want to see that but it was the same trailer that's been online for a few weeks now.

Doctor Who news? Meh. I just can't get excited. I checked out when Billie left the first time and now that she and David will both be gone, I just shrug at the whole thing.

Less than a week until Snow Patrol/Coldplay! Yes, I realize writing it like it seems like I ship them. I really don't. However, after this is all said and done I may want to provide Guy Berryman with more children beyond the daughter he has with his ex. I just find him lovely. I can't help it. Are there any requests for pictures/videos of either band? Will be Twittering the whole thing.

And speaking of, I'm addicted to Twitter now. I'm slightly ashamed. Wish I had more people worth updating for.

Basically this is a post to distract me from the exciting day of laundry/house cleaning. I may catch up with this season of Greek on the ABC Family website as I have nothing to watch until 7:30 (The IT Crowd followed by Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, go Wings.)
misssara11: (FF Alex-Cheers!)
Alright, I've uploaded all my Franz Ferdinand pictures and videos to Photobucket for your enjoyment. And I think I can give you a definitive set list via my Twitter posts.

Highlights found here! Very image heavy. )
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
I still need to sort through and get rid of the especially blurry shots and then upload everything to Photobucket and Facebook, but I thought I'd give you all a little taste, in case you're interested.

First up, The Killers )

And then Franz Ferdinand )
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
In a word: AWESOME!

Go back and read the Tweets for the set list.

There's confetti in my bosom )
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
No, not my username. Monday night I went to see The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with my mom. We were front row center. Really. Something special happened because of our seats.

What follows won't make much sense if you haven't see the show. No real spoilers though. )

To sum up: Changing my name to Marigold.
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
I know have tickets on their way to me for Franz Ferdinand a week from Saturday! (Yes, that means one show one night, another show the next night. Both in different cities. Both cities different from the one I live in.) Thanks once again to eBay.

The tickets to go see The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on Monday night arrived yesterday (yes, I'll be busy next week). Litterally front row center. With a show like this one, that may not be such a great thing! Memorable though.

I consider this all a reward for another long sememster (that has two weeks left in it).
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
I have second row, right side ticket to see The Killers a week from Friday! (Thank you eBay, now if you can just come through for Franz Ferdinand the next night!)

This will be the second time I've seen them in concert. The last time was at an outdoor show during the Hot Fuss tour (and the weather was perfect for it, not hot, a little cool).

At this point, I'm saying I'm going to try my hardest to Tweet the show (and hopefully the one for the next night), if anyone is interested.

And yes, I'm planning to Tweet the Snow Patrol/Coldplay show (or show my mom how to use my phone to do it since I plan on jumping up and down and screaming and singing loudly but she's not going to The Killers show).

Of course, I plan on taking copious amounts of photos as well (which will be linked here and posted to Facebook).

BTW, anyone else having trouble with the last.fm Detect feature?

Also, GO WINGS!
misssara11: (Tennant!crotch)
So, things have happened since last I posted.

If you care to know what's what )

And to remind you all, I've posted a Master List of Fics.

Also, I've joined Twitter (as, wait for it, misssara11). Feel free to follow me and let me know if I can do the same. So far I'm following a dozen celebrities. I'd sort of like to keep track of "real" people, you know?

I think that's it! Happy Birthday David!
misssara11: (Floppie the Banjo Clown)
I'm just giddy about the upcoming Coldplay show. It's one of the few things that's a happy in my life right now. I was informed that my tickets are in the mail (maybe even by tomorrow!) and I'll put then in a safe place for the next two months.

And then it was announced who the opening act is.

Are you ready for it? )

To sum up, it's going to be a great evening of British anthemic alt-rock that I'm very much looking forward to.

So...

I just spent $250 on tickets to see Coldplay in June...

Along the lines of the last one of the five meme but different because I listen to a lot of angsty music. This was requested by [livejournal.com profile] theyellow_daisy.

Top five favorite songs that make you happy when you hear them :) )

On my way into work today, "The Gambler" was on the radio. I was grinning like an idiot for a few minutes. I do the same thing when I have soft serve ice cream too.

I had a Season 2 HIMYM marathon this weekend starting with "Slap Bet" through the end. That led to an interesting dream Saturday night. I'm not sure if it was Ted or Josh Raynor himself, but in my dream, excellent kisser. He was behind me and started on my neck first and it sort of spiraled from there. Which is funny as I'm not really attracted to him. I mean, he's not ugly and from what I've seen of him (and Ted) he seems decent enough but not something I really all that into.

My mom was sick so she didn't come home. I did manage to accomplish quite a bit. Starting Friday into Saturday, I went to two different grocery stores, Walgreens, Target, the post office, the atm, and gassed up my car. I'm done with chapter 8 of The Crossover ([livejournal.com profile] swankkat, it has the brain melty scene in it) and know exactly what I want to do with chapters 9 and 10, at which point the story shifts gears. I have a pretty good idea what I'm doing with that half. For those whom answered my question a couple weeks back, your input is in chapter 7. No one (aside from the betas) will see it until the whole thing is finished though. It makes sure the whole thing gets done. I also got my Episode 2 post of Casanova up on [livejournal.com profile] tennant_rewatch! I was the first one to do so! (Followed literally two minutes after by [livejournal.com profile] fid_gin, but still, mini-wave in honor of me!)

It's DWTS night, which always pleases me, as you all know by now.

Quick poll in regards to THAT SPOILER (tm), SPDN, you could link but it's not that shippy or even that spoilery if you know the casting news )

I'm still coming down off of my Ashes to Ashes high. I love that show. Have I mentioned that? And the revelation about the mural in the last episode? It just keeps getting better! Go! Watch! Now! It helps if you've seen Life on Mars but not necessary to enjoy this show. At least I don't think so.

I really should go back to work now or at least pretend to.
