A Distraction

misssara11I think we can all agree we need a bit of distraction at the moment so as to not go insane until we can watch that thing.
And, anything that can have me thinking about something other than my ear is good.
You may or may not have noticed, I've said nothing about So You Think You Can Dance this season. Reason being, I just wasn't feeling it. I didn't really care about the dancers, except on (Twitch, if you care to know). The dances were sub par. The music choices were almost bad. So, I just didn't care.
Until this week. THIS was the show I knew and loved. There were four performances in particular that had me smiling or enjoying myself. Two of those blew me away. Completely. One of them gives me chills every time I watch it.
The night started out well with Twitch and Kherington's hip hop to "Don't Touch Me Now"
Now, I don't know how many of you are following the ACDC vs. MCMU Cru dance battle, but I just kept expecting ACDC to storm the stage during this (which would have be legendary).
A little later, Courtney and Gev rumba-ed to "Wishing on a Star"
Couple things about this, you all should know, I'm not a big rumba person. Unless it's done well. Which this was. Next, Courtney's dress and subsequently her body....Look, I know I'm straight but yeah. And that really was a proper Latin dress.
The last two dances of the night are what sealed it for me though.
Mark and Chelsie's hip hop to "Bleeding Love" was the dance of the nigh, if not the season.
If you don't watch any of the rest of these, watch this one. This is the one that gives me chills.
So, how do you follow that up? Is it possible? Yes, it is. Joshua and Katee's samba to "Baila Baila" was just the thing.
You all know I love my Latin dances and dancers. So, after watching this, yeah, I have a total crush on Joshua. That boy says he's a hip hop dancer. He lies! He needs to do Latin and he needs to do it now! And wear those trouser all the time. I mean all the time. And this clip solves the mystery as to what happened to the other half of Courtney's dress from above.
Let's hope the rest of the season is as good as this.
