Laundry is laundry-ing. (Remember earlier this week when I said the suitcase hadn't been unpacked? All the convention clothes, plus this weeks, plus the bedding is sorted and load two of six is in the machine.) And as such, that means, in an effort to avoid cleaning the house, it's time for another of [livejournal.com profile] catyuy's choices (only one to go after this).

Top 5 remakes/renewals/adaptations you wish would be made.

These are not in order of preference, more in the order I think of them. And some are continuations, which I guess falls into the renewal category.

1. Veronica Mars
I adored this show for the two seasons. Then Piz came along and it all went down hill. I still haven't watched the end of season three. It's the one season I don't own on DVD. I was a hardcore Logan/Veronica girl. My favorite two characters were Cliff and Sheriff Lamb. Well, if you watched, you know only one of the previous four mentioned got any sort of "happy" ending. I don't want to see the filmed-but-not-aired Veronica Mars, FBI thing. I want things to be as they should. Where it looked like it was going in S3. Veronica and Logan finding their ways back to each other and all their messed up glory. I liked that it was messy between them. Neither one was exactly stable. Anyways, I could go on, but I won't.

2. Twin Peaks
The third season was outlined. WHY DIDN'T IT HAPPEN?!?!? Also, I'd want the Audrey/Cooper thing to happen, as originally planned. Besides growing up on soaps, this was the first couple I was ever invested in. I was in middle school and just beginning to understand such things.

3. The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon
The thing is, this would be so easy to mess up. The books are long because they need to be. You can't just whittle that down. Honestly, I think the best way to adapt these would be to make an epic animated mini-series. Each book could be it's own mini-series. Even with today's special effects, I still think the richness of this could only be captured in animation. Besides the fact there really had yet to be a perfect Jamie for me. (That being said, if it were live-action, how perfect would David and Billie be for Fergus and Marsali?)

4. The Bridgertons by Julia Quinn
I admit, by book four (ah, Colin) I was imagining this acted out. Only, I wouldn't break it up by books. I would do it chronologically. So four, five and six would stack on top of each other and I'd work in the second epilogues (so the one for book four would show up in middle of book five's plot).

5. Complications Minor by...Me!
Yes, it's completely self-indulgent but I want to see this acted out. And not even for the romantic leads! I just want to see Peter and Monty together just to see if they would be a wonderful together as I think. I'm vain enough to say I know Peter and Hannah would work.
