So, I signed up for more of the Five Questions Meme. This time from [livejournal.com profile] jedi_of_urth and [livejournal.com profile] larrisa_j. Just a warning, there are pictures. A little more than a handful.

So, first we have [livejournal.com profile] jedi_of_urth

1. Name the five people from the Doctor Who PTB (producers/writers/actors/etc.) who you would most like to read Bits.

1. My Welsh Love Monkey Euros Lyn (as an excuse to talk to him)
2. RTD (between [livejournal.com profile] kalleah and I we're convinced he's reading our work anyway)
3. Billie (because I think she'd appreciate it for what it is and if she wants to show David, so be it)
4. John Barrowman (because he's John and would get a kick out of it)
5. Nick Briggs (just because)

2. You once said you'd like a chat about my music choice for vids, well go ahead.

I am a music snob. I have no problem admitting that. That being said, I HATE country music and all it stands for. I believe it's only popular now because it ripped off rock music (a trend started with Garth Brooks, who I like as person, can't stand his music). How many "hit" country songs are cover versions anymore? I listen mostly to alternative music. Have for most of my life. Most regular people have never heard of the bands I would consider a household name.

3. What are you're five favorite Robin Hood ships?

Really? Is there five? Let's see what I can come up with.
Guy/Marian (duh)
Will/Djaq
Much/Goose (since he rejected Little John)
um....Sheriff/Fabulous things
uh....Allan/Any one he pleases

4. What type of pets do you have/like to have?

I am a cat person, always have been. I have had two dogs in my life. One got hit by a car when I was three and didn't understand what happened and the other I was too allergic (yes, I am more allergic to dogs than cats, I'm a freak) and gave her up, didn't really bond with that one. When I was born, we already had a cat in the house. Misty. She was a saint and put up with me being a kid and doing kid like things to her, like picking her up by her tail. She never got mad a me. She died of old age when I was 10. I was home sick from school that day and I had to call my mom because she was so sick. She died on the way to the vet. I wasn't. I'm glad I was home but wasn't with her when it happened. Later that year, I got Midnight. We decided to let him be an outdoor cat. My great-grandmother died a couple of years later and we were gone a lot that week. He ran away then.

Then I got Allie. The light of my life. I got her on November 25, 1992 (yes, I remember the day). She's my baby and I love her dearly. She's healthy and well, Allie. She's tiny, 7 pounds on a heavy day and yet she thunders down the upstairs hall. When she does that, we call her Grace. She has oh so many nicknames. Usually Baby Girl or Baby Doll. Her full name is Allison Jay.
*is a proud mom*

(the better pictures are not currently in electronic form)

5. Within reason, what law would you like to set down for Doctor Who fandom?

I'm not sure I'm the one qualified to such a thing. I realize my limits and having that much power is beyond mind. (If that sounds like a cop-out, it's because it is.)

And now [livejournal.com profile] larissa_j's questions
1. Explain to me the appeal of Robin Hood.

Do you need more? Because I could suffer and find some more.

2. Do you plan to write a new novel length story like Bits after or around S4?

I'll tell you what I told everyone who wanted a sequel when I first wrote it: It all depends on what happens in the show. I wrote A Feeling I've Buried in You so that it could be considered a what-if sequel or could be their first time as I wasn't sure when I would get a chance to continue my Bits-verse. But yeah, if the show let's me, I'll revisit. But my big project for the moment isn't Who at all *shock, gasp* but will be of interest, I think, to Who-fans. The two people who know what it is, I refer to it as The Crossover, but I do have a title. So, coming...well maybe not soon but eventually, Complications Minor (Points to anyone who can name the song.)

3. If there had been no ‘ship’ in Who from the beginning, do you think you would have continued watching it throughout all three seasons or would you have quit?

I don't know. I started watching the show when it premiered on Sci-Fi. The next week, I watched The Unquiet Dead and had to find the rest of S1. I was not a shipper at all at that point. I just enjoyed the show. Once I had acquired the rest of the episodes, I watched them all within two days. I don't know when I became a shipper, but by the time TEC/TDD, I was yelling, "KISS HER ALREADY!!" at the screen.

Then I watched the CiN Special. When it finished, I recall saying to the air, "Those two need to make out and do it often." And thus a Ten/Rose shipper was born.

I do know, had David left with Billie, I most likely wouldn't have watched S3 and certainly not S4. But now I have complete incentive to watch S4!

4. Rose and Ten get stuck in Indiana. How bored would they be? In other words, how long before the shagging begins? Can Indiana keep them entertained? Umm should it?

Now see, I like where I live. I have lived in the same house my whole life and don't want to leave. And what does them shagging have to do with them being bored?

If they landed on I69 (yes, that's what it's called and yes, my formative years were filled with the jokes one would expect), between Fort Wayne and Indy, there would be NOTHING. However, depending what they wanted to do, they would find something. If they went to Southern Indiana in the fall, they could see the leaves in Brown County (that's a huge draw and wildly romantic). The Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts the Indy 500 (of course), the NASCAR race and the only F1 race in the US. They could mistakenly land in South Bend when trying for the other Norte Dame. They would be insanely close to Chicago, Detroit and the major cities of Ohio. In my neck of the woods, they would have the best children's zoo in the States at least (seriously, it's won awards), if they landed a few years ago, they could have went to The Raft Race *sniff, misses*, there are loads of lovely restaurants around here and museums, oh The Embassy Theater is a beautiful place for concerts and shows (saw Tony Bennett, front row there and he sang a capella at one point and it just bounced around, it was gorgeous). Whatever they would want, we have a good chance of having it.

Oh, and as I’ve told [livejournal.com profile] svanderslice, the sleepy little city I actually live in (the next door, smaller neighbour of Fort Wayne but is not a suburb) is a cover for a portal to another world.

5. Please explain Doctor Who, Torchwood and the fandom in one paragraph from your POV. One short paragraph. Oh, assume no prior knowledge of the show.

Like all fandoms, it's a microcosm of society. For better or for worse.

Does that work for you ladies? And I'm willing to do more, for those who want to.
