So, the last time I posted anything in the world o' me was October 6th. Let's remedy that before no one can do anything for four hours tomorrow. (Life will go on, promise.)

To preview what will be discussed, let's start with this uncut pic, shall we?

I actually have to check my planner to remember what's been happening.

On September 25, I saw Rent on the big screen for it's special showing. It was great, as always and sad as they had filmed the last two performances on Broadway.

On September 28, I went to THE JOE (yes, it needs to be capitalized) to see my boys play the Thrasher in pre-season play. Zetterberg was playing but Hainsey was not. My mother and I figured this was necessary as the ice would, in fact, melt from the amount of hotness as it was very likely that Ron would be on Hank as a top defensemen is for a top forward (and yes, read that as dirty).
All the pretties of that day can be found here (as well as the groundhog that popped into my yard on day).

Highlights include (click for full images):
Standing No Smoking No Standing

Hockeytown

Hank, Rear View

Yes, it went in right after

So, that was fun. The drive home, not so much. I didn't have dinner as the Arby's we stopped at was out of what I wanted and I don't like the curly fries (which they had). So, I had a root beer. Ooo. Then, Mom took a wrong exit and we got to see the not-so-good side of Toledo. Got home late and still had to be up bright and early the next morning. Mondays, besides being Mondays, are my 12 hour days. I was dragging to say the least.

On October 4, went to the high school District marching band competition, the last two classes. It was fun but was surrounded by band parents and children that had just graduated. So, they were expectedly obnoxious.

During all this, I've been keeping up my normal tv watching schedule. More specifics later, but I watched the first episode of the faux Life on Mars. I'm sure if you've never seen the British version, it's enjoyable. But I have, so it sucks. I couldn't bring myself to watch again.

October 22, I skipped my night class (shush, they got an out of class assignment) to go to the So You Think You Can Dance tour. And yes Virginia, it was awesome.

The picture above the cut is my favorite picture I've taken so far. It's not even a number I especially like but LOOK AT IT! It has Mark! And it's just cool looking. Katie was hurt and announced she wouldn't be dancing. We were all bummed but the show was excellent.

I'll make a post right after this one that has all the videos embedded.

I'll say this, "Bleeding Love" is even more powerful in person. And I love Mark even more than I did during the season.

Picture highlight time!
Guess where we were!

It's an utter and complete mystery isn't it?

Yes, he is that awesome. Deal with it.

Four of the five guys named Moe.

He doesn't quite pull it off, does he.

BOLLYWOOD FTW!

Random Snuggle

Yes, I videoed the whole performance.

This is just pretty.

I'm declaring Mark the most photogenic SYTYCD contestant ever.

And scene.

The girl two rows directly in front of me decided it would be a good idea to sit on her heels and hold her camera above her head for most of the show. This was after she stood for the whole of the opening number. The man caddy-corner in the row in front of me was 6'6" and never slouched. So, I have a lot of his head. But over all, wonderful.

I was then struck down with a sinus infection that lasted a good two weeks. The flu shot I got did nothing for that. I couldn't lecture two of my classes I was so ill. We don't do subs and I don't get paid if I don't show up. Plus, they had their mid terms to take. I had no time to just say home and rest. It sucked. The cough from drainage (which means cough medicine does nothing) is still lingering.

In the past three weeks I've read all eight Sookie Stackhouse novels and all the short stories (there's one I have to read that's set in that universe but doesn't have the main characters in it). I could go into gushing detail but I'll save that for another time. Basically, Pam is the greatest thing ever. I ship Eric/Sookie like whoa (I also ship Eric/Me, but thats beside the point). I'm not an Elvis person at all and I'm huge cat lover and yet, when Bubba shows up, I'm very pleased.

I've tried very hard to be patient and kind with my students but it's hard. Especially when the question they ask me was something I just walked them through not 20 minutes earlier and when I asked if they had any questions, they said nothing. (Repeat this five more times during the week.)

TV, LOVE TRUE BLOOD!!!!!!!!! See above about Stackhouse-universe related gushing. I've almost given up on House. I don't want him with Cuddy, don't care about Wilson and his emo, never liked Chase, they don't give Foreman anything do and Kumar without Harold, well. HIMYM is still great but I HATE the upcoming spoilers. Heroes is dead to me (I'll give you a hint why, my favorite male television character of all time is Julian Sark). DwtS is hit or miss. I simply adore Warren though. Life is wonderful. Ugly Betty is starting to remember what made it so likable in the first place. ER want me to break-up with but I've invested 15 years into that show and I'm seeing through to the end.

And can I just say, the Ashes to Ashes/Top Gear CiN thing was what I was looking forward to the most, and it didn't disappoint.
Let's see, if you've made it this far, give yourself a gold star!
