Playing catch up

I missed last weeks Pic-a-Week post as errands and general exhausting happened. Yes, I'm now at the month and half mark of the Sinus Infection of Doom! Went back to the doctor this week and am now on my third antibiotic (which can also be used in preventing or slowing exposure to anthrax). My doctor (Dr. Smith, hee!) said the next step will be to take me out and shoot me.

All that to say this: You'll be getting two posts today. And yes, one will be kitty-riffic.

This one, not as much. This about a book I recently purchased and read (rather quickly). It's the smuttiest thing I've ever read but still had plot! The book was this (click to make bigger):


This author has also done versions of The Phantom of the Opera and The Count of Monte Cristo. I have (but not read) the Phantom one and this one was cheap and I needed to round out an Amazon order.

But what really caught my eye was when I actually got the book. This is the dedication page:

Needless to say, I liked the ending.

I have wanted to read that book for FOREVER. I just wasn't willing to spend the money on it, and I would feel so awkward getting it through the library where I work. So I look forward to your thoughts on it?

There is no Guy, and it took some getting used to that the sheriff's (the "hero" if you want to call him that) name is Will. But he does look a lot like Armitage. Marian does not, however, look like Lucy. And you couldn't even put her in that place as her red hair is always discussed. Robin does look like Jonas though! And I find it interesting that even though the book was written well before S3 (which does not exist, I haven't watched it, so it isn't real), Prince John (the villain) looks like Toby!

Anyways, if you're shy about smut scenes, stay away. It's graphic and intense. But the plot really does happen and all the parts do go together. It's not gratuitous, as hard as that may be to believe. Well, it is, but it's necessary.

I liked it, but I also know it's not for everyone. As I said, I got it cheap from Amazon. You might try one of the resellers there. It would be even cheaper and you don't have to worry about the face-to-face thing.
