This has been awful.

With the exception of the wedding itself, this trip has been terrible. I'm currently sitting in the terminal watching the flight I was suppose to be on board. Why am I not on it? Well, the incoming plane was delayed, so my flight was delayed. My connection is holding for all other connections except mine. So, I've been rebooked for a flight that will land three hours after I was originally supposed to.

I'm trying so hard not to cry right now.

The dear gate agent that had to rebook me took a bit of pity and he's letting me pre-board at least. And after I land, I will still have to drive home for two and half hours. Which I'm going to do because I want to be home so bad right now.

*hugs* I'm so sorry you've had crappy travel! I hate missing flights, it's always so frustrating making new arrangements and the airlines are frequently unhelpful.

The guy I've dealt with has been very helpful and sympathetic. The entire trip has been terrible, so the fact that I can't get home for even longer is just so frustrating.

I'm glad you've been well-helped. The last time I had to re-book, the guy I initially talked to was extremely unsympathetic. Fortunately, someone else took over and was more helpful.

Brently, the gate-agent is my new BFF. He was darling from the start. When I saw how much we'd be delayed, I went to ask if I'd make my connection and he called right there ad saw there were 10 of us who wouldn't make it. At that point, we were staying on the orignal flight. then they made the announcement that all connections were being held, but mine and that we'd need to rebook. As I walked up there, he just gave me a sad smile and and apologized (which he had no control over what happened, so I had no reason to be upset with him and told him as much). I said, "That's okay. The entire trip has been bad." And after he re-booked me, he said, "And I'm going to let you pre-board", which, if you've ever flown Southwest, you know that's a big thing. I just can't sit in the exit row for the first leg of the flight.

And know the flight is delayed by 15 minutes (so far).

Thanks. (We've been delayed 15 minutes now. Still, compared to before...) Because of all this (since I have you here), I know my AV story is due on Tuesday, can I have like an extra day? I don't work Tuesdays and while I can write, I can't promise it will have been beta-ed in time. If not, I'll see what I can do. (I think you can understand, even though I have this free time, I can't concentrate enough to write at the moment).

Yup, absolutely. Our schedule is currently being rather delayed anyway, so your posting date has likely been pushed back a bit (my minion is dealing with that sort of thing so I don't have to! XD). Just email it in as soon as you're done and betad (and preferably before your original posting date) and things will work out.

Do have better luck than I did at that airport. That being said, if you end up in the Continetal/Southwest terminal, I can give tips since I spent quite a lot of time there.

Haha, seems I've run into bad luck already... And I'm not even there! Spirit Airlines is on strike, and that's who I was flying with...
