It's unbeata-ed. So sorry for any mistakes.
They had saved a world once again. This time the world wouldn't let them go without a prize. Well, two prizes. Technically three. But that didn't matter. The Doctor entered the TARDIS sneaking looks back at Rose, not at all happy with the situation.
When Rose stepped inside, she set two of the new additions on the ground. The mini Doctor took mini Rose's hand and led her up the ramp to investigate. It was clear he was trying to be impressive, meeping and squeaking while pointing to things. chibiRose just beamed at him.
"They're so real!" Rose couldn't help but smile at them and their antics.
"I DO NOT act like that!" The Doctor was insulted. He put on his glasses and went to glare at the monitor, arms crossed. Rose didn't hold back her laughter when his tiny doppelganger pulled out his own pair of specs and adopted the same pose. The Doctor sputtered when he saw what she was on about. "That! That is just...that is just not right." She laughed harder.
"Aw, come on, they're sweet."
"What was the other thing they gave you?" He gestured to the package the natives very pointedly didn't give to him.
"Oh, it's um, fabric like stuff. To, uh, make more chibis."
"MORE!"
"They said in case we, well...extend the family."
"You ARE NOT making a small version of your mother!"
"That's not what they meant." She didn't elaborate and he didn't ask.
"What do they do? What do they eat? What do they wear?"
"Well, they are little versions of us. They eat what we do. They did warn to keep the sugar content down though. But I think they may have just been referring to you. As far as the clothes, that thing-a-jig they gave you? You touch it to any of our clothing and it makes a small version of it for them. Sort of an apparel cloner."
"That's clever." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Rose?"
"Yes, Doctor?"
"Where are they going to sleep?" They had just started to share a bed. Sharing said bed with little menaces, no matter how cuddly, did not work into his plans.
"I don't know. If he's anything like you, he'll sleep anywhere."
"Oi! Okay, that's true." He didn't like the looks chibi him was giving Rose. Life-like his foot. He never beamed at her that way. Did he? He did have to admit, chibiRose was very cute. And she even had big Rose's mannerisms. She wouldn't be so bad to have around.
"We could let them sleep in my old room. That is if you don't mind them sharing a bed. If it's good enough for us..." she waggled her eyebrows at him.
He couldn't stop his smile. "Alright. Works for me."
That night (or what passed for night in the TARDIS), as they headed off to bed, they were surprised to find the bed was already occupied. The chibis were spooned together right in the centre.
"Aw."
"They are sort of sweet aren't they?" He had to admit they were endearing. Even if they were in his bed. He went to move them, causing chibi him to protest loudly.
"Doctor, leave them be. They aren't hurting anybody."
"But...."
"Doctor." The warning in her voice was clear.
He pointed to the pair happily snuggled together. "But I wanted to do that with you. Possibly naked."
"Doctor! The chibis!"
"Oh Rose, you said they were realistic. They about these things surely."
"Still."
"Fine they can stay here tonight. But tomorrow, to their own room."
They didn't move for another two weeks and even then big Doctor had to escort them there.
Occasionally, when it seemed to be mostly danger-free the chibis would join them in their adventures.
They arrived back one day and Rose looked at him. "What?"
"You're whipped."
"How do you mean?" She pointed to his pocket where chibiRose was contentedly sucking on a Jelly Baby he had given to her. It was the second one as she insisted on giving her first one to chibi him. "She couldn't run with us. And you're one to talk!"
"He fell and you didn't even care!"
He gestured, "He doesn't have to be in that area does he? Even I don't spend that much time near your chest." She quirked an eyebrow. "Okay, I would given the chance, but I have those privlages!" He took little Rose out and placed her on the captain's chair.
"Hmph. I going to take care of him. Get him cleaned up." The chibis waved to each other as Rose carried chibi Doctor away.
"Fine. I have work to do anyway." He stalked over the console and pulled up the grating. He looked up and smiled. "Would you like to help?" The tiny Rose nodded and he lifted her down.
Meanwhile Rose was watching her mini Doctor splash about in the bath. "You are just adorable! I don't care what he says." The chibi turned five shades of red which made him that much cuter. When he was done, she lifted him out and scrubbed him with a towel. He poked his little head out of the opening and smiled at her. "Oh, you are just like him. Flash those eyes and think you have the world at your feet. Lucky for you I'm a soft touch. Come on then."
They fell into a routine. chibiRose became the Doctor's constant companion during the day as chibiDoctor did for Rose. Then at night they would switch much to everyone's delight.
Rose was carrying the little Doctor to the control room when she stopped and grinned. "Not whipped then?"
The Doctor looked up from the papers he was intently studying. He took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. "What?"
She nodded towards the top of his head.
"What?"
"Doctor, she's plaited your hair."
He had become so accustomed to chibiRose's presence he didn't give it a though when she had climbed on top of his head. He felt the top of his head. Rose was right. He had thought she was giving his scalp a massage and was a most polite thing to do. He heard the little giggles from above. He plucked her up and was going to give her a lecture when she looked at him and smiled that smile. That smile that her big counterpart gave him to get her way. It was even more devastating in miniature form.
"I guess they'll work out after all."

Date: 2007-06-06 05:24 am (UTC)(Chibis are a foot tall. So say a human is about 6 feet, rounding up and a baby is about 1 1/2-2 feet. That would make a babychibi about 4 inches. Not that I thought about that at all.)
