I've been tagged and since I'm a good girl, I do as I'm told (though I truly need to be writing my ficathon piece. You do realize
ivydoor, that I was just getting to a smutty bit? You are the one denying the world. Hope you're proud of yourself.
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).
6. Tag five people.
I closed the kitchen door behind us, nuked the gravy boat, and turned to Joyce. "What's going on?"
"I realized I was going about this wrong. We're both looking for Dickie, right? But you have Studman out there working with you. That gives you a real advantage over me. So instead of forcing you to butt out, I'm going to stick to you like glue. You and Studman will find Dickie for me."

So, I cheated and did eight sentences. It finished the paragraph. I have three in my whole book collection of what I would consider "intellectual books". Mostly I read romance novels. But it's the Stephanie Plum time of year and I should be finished with this one already but the ficathon has occupied me as well. Everyone should read the Plum books. Start with the first one. It's not necessary but a whole lot more fun.
I tag whoever wants to do it as I REALLY need to get back to writing. I'll most likely do the 28 Questions thing later.
