Why? I'm so glad you asked. I've finished one of two stories I need to have done by the middle of the month and it is sent off to beta. The semester is almost over. At the office job it's the time of year to purge the files (we only keep files from the past seven years) and got half-done today! Next week, I should finish and merge the new old files (those clients who haven't been in a year but are in the current records) next week!

The first posting window for the Secret Santa ends tomorrow. I've only had two of the seven people post. I'm hoping folks are just waiting to the last minute. I'm sure I'm worrying over nothing but this is the first time I'm ever ran something like this and I just want it to go well.

Today's present was Kiss My Face All Night Creme. I know this isn't a commentary on my complexion by my grandmother. Actually, little cosmetic tip from me to you, this kind of stuff is multi-purpose (AB would love it). If your like me, and have done the 'dry out a pimple only to make all the skin around it dry up too' thing, a nice thick cream will save you. Take a blob and just set in on there if you don't have to go anywhere or wear make-up. A good one does not clog the pores. It heals up and leaves no mark. It does take a couple of days but it also takes out the redness. Put it on before you go to bed and leave it. If you have it on during the day, reapply anytime you think of it and just wipe it off before you put on make-up or just go out. It works on any scratch or irritation too. Here's the jar I got:

And today's bit o' Bits: Chapter 4: Dalek

As I said, please comment if you haven't already! I'm needy and need validation in my life.

I sympathize with deadline problems. Every year, I manage a little project where I collect photos for a calendar. By the third year, I was setting a deadline of a good two weeks before I absolutely needed anything. When everybody misses the deadline, I can say, "Okay, but get them to me within a week, all right?" and then even when they miss that deadline they generally don't do it by much. For something like a ficathon, people are probably pushing themselves to the wire, but it's still hard not to worry when you feel responsible for making it run smoothly.

As I said, this is the first time I'm running one of these instead of just entering. I don't want people to be disappointed.
