Bits and Bobs

Hee! See what I did there?
First thing's first, the story I posted last night, Nature's Law was purely inspired by this picture. It came first, then the story. All hail
swankkat! No, seriously, my dear, the picture is lovely (both of them!). Thank you for letting me play with it. Now, maybe we should collaborate on that other thing....
Next, I thought when the semester was over the stress would go away. HA! Things the psychologist has asked me to do in the past week (and says there's no pressure to get done but you all know what that means):
Set up his new laptop as a back up for the desktop in his office. (This is an ongoing thing, I start a download and go do something else).
Compile and average every SCL-90 result we have. Separate it by adolescents and adults, by gender, by administration. Make it look presentable and then keep it current. There's only 700 of those.
Add five tests to the website in both downloadable and interactive forms. The first isn't hard. The second, I have to type each question individually and it's answers. Set up the forms to be easily read by me when I get the answers. Set certain things to be required (I can't do one of the tests without some sort of ID number, the software won't let me).
Adjust the adolescent retesting letter.
Make other changes to the website.
Oh, and do my regular work too.
*headdesk*
He actual said yesterday, "Just do it over the holidays." I was already going to be working on Monday. I might have to do some things on Tuesday as well. Plus, I'll be out of town between the 29th and the 1st. I should be flattered that he has this much confidence in me. I really just want a break.
If you were on my Christmas card list and haven't got your card yet, let me know. The one I sent to Hong Kong made it, so I'm assuming all the US ones reached their destinations. I've posted everyone I got from so far too.
Today I opened up another Burt's Bees thing. This time it has a bunch of goodies. There's two small bars of soap, toner, face cleanser, foot lotion, body lotion, hand salve, hand creme, cuticle creme eye serum, eye creme and honey lip balm.

And in the re-read, one of the two chapters I can't bring myself to re-read. It's not because I think they are rubbish, quite the opposite. They are just rough going. I think you can all guess what the other one. Two very different reasons there. Chapter 18: The Girl in the Fireplace. For the record this is easily my least favorite S2 episode. Funnily enough, by least favorite S3 episode (and that's saying something) is Blink. Hmm, seems to be a pattern there.

Date: 2007-12-18 11:14 pm (UTC)I did like TEC/TDD, they were my favorite of S1. I loved Coupling as well. However, every thing Moffat's done since then, in my opinion, (including Time Crash) is one big, "I'm so much more clever than you and you can't tell me otherwise. If you don't like it, clearly you don't understand my genius and you're just a pathetic little fan anyway. Your opinion is wrong (unless you agree with me)." So, yeah, it's fair to say, not a fan.
