'cause everyone else is doing it and I haven't done in meme in AGES

Comment with any ship (romantic or platonic or maybe even non-existent!) from a fandom that you know I have some knowledge about, and I will rant about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on your ship of choice.

Things what I watch/know about: Doctor Who, Community, Robin Hood, True Blood, Glee, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Game of Thrones (though I still don't know all the characters fully yet), The Borgias, How I Met Your Mother, Mike & Molly, Cougar Town, 30 Rock, SNL, Green Wing, Ashes to Ashes, Being Human, Lost in Translation, Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge, Lost, Buffy, Harry Potter, and other stuff that I can't think of at the moment, but really isn't that enough?

So I like totally forgot I asked and then never checked your response...sorry. Bad ljfriend!

I loved Spike too from the beginning. Like from the moment he gave his "Woodstock" speech I thought he was cool. And then when he turned to look at Drusilla and easily slid from his vampire face, I was "Awww he's so sweet and so cute and sexy!" I'm not much a Spike/Dru fan beyond thinking they were fun to watch in S2, but the fact that he immediately dropped his mask for Dru (who, frankly, would have preferred his monster side) and showed his human looks told me that he was different from other vamps and could be both loving and tough and therefore more interesting. As oppose to some lame vamps who are only fun when they've lost their soul.

I think the first time I came into liking the idea of Spike & Buffy was the moment he beat up that cop and then said "Hello Cutie" in the S2 finale. It was like something clicked, but soon Spike was gone, and I had to wait until S4 to really get something from it.

Definitely agree on the idea that she did love him. No way could she have gone through the moments in Touched through Chosen without admitting to herself that she loved him. That speech alone in Touched should have done the trick. Plus, he was the only one to stick up for her. She loved him, and by his reaction I say he did believe, but yes, he had to get her to go.
